Great news for Bedrule Church

Bedrule Church Future is delighted to be able to share wonderful news just in time for the festive season.

After a lengthy negotiation process with the Church of Scotland, we have been able to finalise the purchase of the church and have been given an entry date of the 19th of December, 2025.

We plan to hold a formal handing-over ceremony early in 2026, and the date and details of this will be posted here as soon as it has all been confirmed.

But in the meantime, for those local to Bedrule, we welcome you to join us for a small informal celebration at the church on Sunday 21st December between 3 - 5pm, where we will raise a glass to this wonderful place and those who have made community ownership possible.

Over the last few months we’ve been contacted by many other communities faced with losing their local church and have been asked for guidance. Ultimately, each situation is unique, and we have been incredibly lucky to have such generous and immediate support from those connected with Bedrule Church. But we will certainly be sharing more details on our news page regarding the journey we’ve been on these last few months, including what is likely to happen next. We hope this will be of help and interest. As we move into the next stages, we will also provide the option to register for our email newsletter with regular updates.
